As a child of the 70's I grew up listening to hard rock albums, FM radio and AM radio. Those 3 mediums pretty much covered all of the 70's music. In February 1980 I was 12 and I met a dude who had Judas Preist, Iron Maiden, Scorpions, Triumph, and other heavy rock/metal. I continued in this dierction and started seeing concerts of bands like that. In 1983 I was introduced to Metallica, Slayer, and Metal Blade Records Compilations so I started going the thrash metal direction, leaving rock in the dust. By '87 I was buying CD's of the thrash metal movement up until about 1993, when metal and rock were taken over by grunge and alternative and I wanted no part of it.
Now I'm into alot of the radio rock from the 80's as well as rock and metal from the 80's. Love the 80's.
