This is a tragedy!

Yep it is true and not rumor, read more Here.

I am not surprised by this news, but I didn't think it would happen this soon.

Just read this. She's been on a downhill spiral for awhile. It's a shame.

Oh boy, the press in the US is going to be all over this story for the next few months like they are with any tabloid star's death.

I'm shocked but not surprised. Like many here have stated, she's been spiraling out of control for some time. I think I'm more surprised that she's made it this long. It's really tragic because she had some genuine talent but she wasted it all away for harsh self medication. Hopefully she'll find peace with herself in the afterlife.

I know some people will call this a tragedy, but I am not one of them. When someone dies (whether they are famous or not) due to stupid lifestyle choices (booze, drugs, whatever).... I just dont find that "tragic". Sad? perhaps. Unfortunate? sure. Tragic? Nah.

Tragic deaths (to me) would be people that had zero control over a situation from which they died - such as: Stevie Ray Vaughan (helicopter crash), Members of Lynyrd Skynyrd (airplane crash), Cliff Burton (Bus crash), John Lennon (murdered), etc. Dying of a heroine or cocaine overdose, drinking yourself to death, etc.... just doesn't fall into the realm of 'tragic' to me. Wow! I know I'm not a big fan of hers and I'm not going to pretend to be now,but all I can say is, like Lynch...I'm not surprised. I also don't think it's right that her lifestyle choice allowed her to give shoddy performances to her hard paying fans who adore her.

I do believe she had problems and addictions.

I also want to say that no matter what I ever felt about her, I would never have wished she'd die. I wouldn't wish that upon anybody. I hope her loved ones and family can get through this without too much press harassment.

I still haven't read the article yet but I'm assuming overdose or some sort of O.D.?

This hurts me a little because we were just talking about her in a thread and now this happens.. I don't feel guilty.. I feel compassion for someone struggling and dosn't make a come back.
Nobody stuck the drugs in her arm yes.. But once again.. ADDICTION'S sometime win's in the end and takes lives..
Truly bummed by this news...:uh: We are a harsh breed for criticizing those who have troubles and lack of control.. That sickens me..
