Lord , an Australian metal sensation, was born as a solo side project of the frontman of Dungeon, Tim Grose aka Lord Tim.

Lord's first album, A Personal Journey, was released in 2003, and is a mixture of instrumentals and songs with vocals:





Dungeon officially split ways in 2005, which then left Lord the main band. Lord has toured with such acts as Nightwish, Queensryche, Saxon, and Gamma Ray. The band has released 2 more albums, Ascendence in 2007 and Set in Stone in 2009, and is rumored to be releasing their 4th album in 2012.

I'm going to have to check this band out when I have some more time. Melodic Heavy Metal is definitely a favorite of mine in terms of genres.

The most melodic would be the Debut. There is a mix of metal styles including thrash and some death growls, too. But coming from the roots of Dungeon, how could there not be a few growls.

The Release from 2009 is pretty awesome, more heavy metal than anything, but still contains enough variety to keep a person interested

Rain is a pretty cool song! The bassist, Andy Dowling, has a neat lead on that song

Cheers for this Magic, another band for me to add to the list of new music I want I've been listening to this type of music a lot recently, 'Forever' was my favourite of the videos posted. Can't wait to get a copy of the albums
