He's got an impressive body of work to his credit. Most people stop at "Tubular Bells" for some reason, which is a shame he's done some other fabulous recordings, and all over the place musically as well.

I've always loved this song, I'm not 100% certain but I think it was his highest placed single, at least over here.

It's the only song on my CD of the album that plays properly and you're right LG at no time soon will I be looking to replace that CD

^^My vinyl is still good, so I made a HQ cassette copy and play that, to Preserve the old album.

I only have Tubular Bells and Ommadawn (my favourite of the two). I thought his music was starting to sound the same after that. Maybe, I should give him another listen.

I do love Mike, he is a ripper of a musician, I have a number of his albums and have just started buying the remasters. I am waiting for " Crisis" to be remastered that is a lovely album or is it just me?

I was bombarded by MIKE OLDFIELDs Tubular bells,Hergest Ridge and Ommadawn from my elder sister.....so his music was drilled into me even if I liked it or not
Never got round to getting any of his albums...but I give him respect
