Listening to Mom play her albums when we lived in France. Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Elvis, Johnny Mathis, Dean Martin, whenever I hear certain songs by those artists I am back in our PMQ listening in wonder to the magical box and Mom singing dancing humming along.

That is why I love music, Dad never cared at all about it.

So similar to my memories LG, without the France part lol. The artists you listed as well as The Dorsey Brothers, Kaye Ballard, The Andrews Sisters, Benny Goodman, Harry James and many others... there was always music in my house as a young child. Then The Beatles invaded America at age 6 for me and my life changed forever. That was the start of my own personal musical journey...

Listening to Dick Bartley's Solid Gold Saturday Night on WOGL Philadelphia with my Mom and Dad driving home from my Nan's house. I was probably seven or eight years old. It was all fifties and sixties oldies.
My sister used to play piano when I was a kid. She was really good. She'd play The Entertainer, On The Wings of love by Jeffery Osbourne, some Beethoven, Bruce Springsteen's Jungleland

I remember the first song that I ever distinctly remember singing and loving was "Living In The Sunlight, Loving In The Moonlight" by Tiny Tim because I remember hearing it in the pilot episode of Spongebob back in the day. :D

About the oldest music memory that I can remember was when I was about 3 yrs old (probably just about 4) riding in the car with my parents one summer going to my aunt and uncle's apartment to go swimming .... hearing songs like Green Eyed Lady (Sugarloaf) and Come Together (Beatles) playing on the radio. I think that's about as far back as I can remember.

Not sure if that's what you are looking for or not.

Sure that is really what I am looking for. We all here are huge fans of music and I thought this would be a good reflective thread

My first music memory is of me doing karaoke of Hit me Baby One More Time by Britney Spears... Sometimes I can't stand being a 90s kid.

yeah I understand your pain. 90's has plenty off good music. Especially alternative. Look on the upside at least you were not singing Aqua "Barbie Girl." Like I said i was dancing to Ace of Base.
