Not sure how to respond to that. On one hand, it seems quite possible. On the other hand, Gene has gone out of his way many times to belittle and degrade Ace. Could this be the same sort of thing?

No, we will never know the truth of the matter, though I tend to believe Gene.

However, what we can agree on is that this sort of behavior from Gene is a microcosm as to why Ace isn't involved with Kiss anymore.

I always thought that Cold Gin sounded very Gene like and not just cause he sang it either...but would find it funny he would write a song about alcohol in the first place unless it was a guise.

But Into The Void from Psycho Circus sounds alot like Mr. Blackwell in the verse lines. So it does have a Gene style...I dunno....

That is a good story. My biggest complaint with Gene is his reality show...I feel the same way about his as Ozzy's, no need to tarnish a legendary rock and roll figure by having that kind of shitty show associated with you.

I've said it before I enjoy KISS more now than when they were at their zenith, and have never had anything but respect for Gene's business acumen.

Good for Ace and Gene...nice to see a HAPPY story about them instead F-off /screw U/hate-party thing usually wheeled out..

Gene Simmons as a ego the size of Texas but he is a human . He is intelligent/driven/and perfectionist.

I respect his attitude towards drugs and I'm sure it NOT easy in the music business.

I love Ace Frehley..he has a major talent that can't be denied..sadly he also has a drug problem that takes constant work to keep under control.I GIVE HIM CREDIT for accepting he was wasted in that story and I think he shows SOME respect for Gene by telling it ..I mean he mostly makes Gene look like a caring person..which I believe under that crusty old demon .. I wanted comment on you remark about Simmons reality show, you know I destest those reality shows like you Lg , however I must admit that I've seen several of his shows and one thing I discovered was..Gene is a really good father,

I agree that Rock needs NOT to shows us reality of our music heros(Ozzy /Bret/ Dee etc) but I must defend Gene slightly on his..

.he DOES show that even tho he tries pull off the jerk sexist pig thing with the world..he is FULL of it. Watch him with his woman Shannon Tweed or his daughter ..he very loving and compassionate. The best thing I ever saw was when Shannon was being tested for cancer. Yes it was hyped up for the show but I saw real feelings.He has a wonderful relationship with his son Nick too..they don't treat him like a big rock star/they don't swear and disrepect each other /like Ozzies kids and I think they have Genes' 'number' if you know what I mean

I watched a few shows Family Jewels and I had a much different perpective of him..so point is SOMETIMES it good to see these people real

Meaning you are identifying a couple songs Ace is credited for which sound a lot like something Gene would have wrote?

I've never seen a complete "Family Jewels" episode Astrid, but it wouldn't surprise me if it's better than watching Ozzy stumble around in a daze on his reality show.

I don't have any time to waste on those shows, time is precious to me more than ever before.

I hear you..and I agree with you..reality shows aren't anything but a HUGE waste of time..




I only admit watching Family Jewels one season /half bits of it too..I CAN'T stomach much reality even if it Gene Gene the Danicin machine lol
