By far, one of the best albums by a new rock band in the last 10 years.

This album is a gem.

Re: Wolfmother

^^When I first heard the debut GM, I thought it was a band from the early 70's, they sounded amazing to me. Definitely one of the best new rock albums in a long long time.

Thanks for the info Sal, another example of band dynamics in action, too bad because if things had worked out between the original members we might have had one or two more albums to talk about.

Re: Wolfmother

The last time I saw them they had gone from three band members to four. I don't know what the problem is with Andrew Stockdale but he can't keep a band together for any length of time.

Re: Wolfmother

But I'll do it otherwise I forget what was going on.

Wolfmother at HMV Forum in London, 1 June 2011.

The gig started at 8pm and the opening act was Turbogeist and it was a massive joke IMO. How this band can possibly open for Wolfmother? They sounded so crap and cheap.

Wolfmother came on stage at 9:15pm. I haven't listened to their latest album, so I don't know the titles. But surely they played third song the classic "Woman" after a short Pink Floyd improvisation. I was well impressed they did a tribute to Jim Morrison and played "Riders On The Storm". Also they did two other covers, "Baba O'Riley" and end of "Stairway To Heaven". Last song before they left the stage was so good I was headbanging so much my neck hurts right now. We all were right at the front, so it was very good. They came back after 5 minutes, but we had to leave to get the train.

They were amazing, I loved these Aussies and I think I should get their albums.

Hopefully tomorrow there will be more videos for the concert.

Re: Wolfmother

^^Sounds like a great time Nolo...except for the excessive headbanging...:hm:

:D

I have their first two albums and think they are a top notch band.
