Doesn't seem to be a clear picture as to how he died. From what his friends have said, it seems like he wasn't sick.

I read he died in his sleep ................. God willing, that's how I want to go when my time comes but not as young as 58.

He was a true guitarist who has gone, "Over The Hills And Far Away" I will miss him and his fantastic guitar playing

I still can't get over this.....only 58, WAY TOO YOUNG. I read that a mag editor depicted Gary as "a very healthy man both in mind and body...." RIP my friend ...may you gig in the sky with Phil forever
