^^^^ eberg, where can you get those live tracks?

I want them. :)

They gave you a code on your ticket for the digital album and these tracks when they came out.. I'm sure you can easily find them online, they are actually encouraging the sharing of these for free.. I'll find you a link tonight, it's actually legal too:heheh::grinthumb

Nice...but, take your time. No rush. I understand it's Christmastime, things are getting crazy. But if it's tonight....that would be cool., if not that's ok :)

Thanks, man.

:cheers2

Edit: nice pics too! :grinthumb

About as great a tracklist as we could hope from this tour IYAM. Going Down to Georgia sounds even better than on Live Anthology. And King's Highway is one of my all-time favorites.

Re: Official Tom Petty Thread

First of all, great write up on the band eberg :cheers2

I'm surprised you don't like the Last DJ though. I always kind of dug it. Although I understand that the writing isn't as clever, but I think he was trying to be to the point. Definitely not his best work, but I think it was solid.

To continue the Free Fallin' discussion...It's not my favorite TP track, but I think it might be his best. By that I mean EVERYBODY likes that song. His die hard fans still dig it no matter how many times they hear it and people that only know TP for that song like it, too.

I remember this one time in high school, our English teacher gave us an assignment. She was always cool though and would let people walk around and talk and do the assignment then or later for homework. Naturally everybody procrastinated and just sat around talking and being loud. Then she put on some Tom Petty and Free Fallin' came on. Everybody sat down, got quiet, and started doing their assignment. It was freaky. It was like it put a spell on the room.

I like how Campbell got to show off on Mojo. You only see flashes of his ability on the rest of their catalog. It was kind of like George Harrison when he was with the Beatles. You knew he was a great guitar player, but he was never in the spotlight except for a few songs here and there.
