Dio are to have their first release since the death of Ronnie James Dio in May.

It’s a double live CD titled Dio At Donington UK: Live in 1983 & 1987. To be released by Niji Entertainment Group, this is due out on November 9.

They feature the band’s two appearancesd at the Monsters Of Rock Festival.

I think it's cool that Ozzy pays respect to Ronnie after the past they had.Good to see.

Something just occurred to me...when Sabbath was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame they only included the original lineup....which of course excluded Ronnie. Anyone else thinks that's not right?

In a way...yeah! The DIO years...or first two albums and live album were very important and productive years for the group. :mad

I know right? It's not too often that I hear people bring up Sabbath without at least mentioning Ronnie.

You know it's hard not to. His coming into the band was an easy switch over for alot of fans as well. I remember being 13-14 and hearing Neon Knights debut on the radio....WOW!! It was stunning...Mob Rules alone should have had Ronnie included in the HOF induction.

What's probably the saddest part though is that inclusion with Black Sabbath was Ronnie's best chance of making it in there at all.
