Re: The Yes Thread

Spent today raking through my Yes collection, couldn't say that I could pick out a clear favourite. For me they all seem to be rammed with great tunes .. just finished "Relayer" .. What a blinding album.

I think Patrick Moraz did a fantastic job steppin' up to the keys LG. I wouldn't have fancied the job following Rick.

Re: The Yes Thread

^^That would be hard following in his footsteps, but as you said he did a great job in his own right. I was reading on an Audiophile board about Relayer a couple of days ago, this one fan says he thinks it's their all around Best album, I am like you though I find it hard to choose with the exception of "Fragile" it will always be the first album I think of when Yes is mentioned.

LG I even like "Union" and that often gets a right kicking from critics and fans alike. No for me it's impossible to pick a stand out "the one" album from this band.

^^Fragile is my pick, and it has to do with who introduced this band to me, her name was Claudia...:heheh:

Good times, great memories.:grinthumb

Re: The Yes Thread

^^I bet that's incredible, there is a hell of a lot of virtuoso musicianship going on and though it gells really well, I like to try and pick out where they are at.

^^You are a musician yourself Sox, I am just a rabid fan but I do appreciate the subtle bits and pieces a talented band like Yes puts into their songs.
