And I wanna hear long tear jerking, spine chilling sad songs. And, goes without saying, long guitar solo's. :)

And maybe the most important rule: tell me the reason why you picked the songs!!

No more then 3 per post please.

Daydream - Robin Trower. What's not to like about a long song with both James and Robin. Memorable version.

Sloe Gin - Joe Bonamassa. Became our song when my girlfriend and me met again after 24 years. Magical song.

I absolutely adore this song, so sad but so very beautiful. One of the most moving ballads of all time for me. And when you think about what Peter's been through, breaks your heart.

Warrant ~ Heaven Guitar Solo...check. Beautiful song...check. Sad lyrics...check. A song I have always loved since the first time I heard it. "Heaven isn't too far away"

Can't say it's mine or really even pertains directly to me.

A favourite of mine is Free "Be My Friend", when Koss died he left a huge void and even though the band had a bumpy ride they left us with some incredible songs.

Deep Purple "Mistreated", what can I say ... just brilliant in every way.

Jonny Lang "Wander This World" a top track, he's got a great voice and the guitar chops to match.

David Coverdale, great voice - one of my favourites - and always delivers his ballads with such feeling.

David Coverdale - Blindman (1977)

Whitesnake - Blindman

Love both versions :grinthumb
