Within Temptation or Nightwish

Yeah, I like that one well enough but still miss the older more riff and bomastic symphonic orientated style.

I'm with Vader, Tarja era Nightwish is better than anything. I own the 3 albums since Tarja was sacked too, and they're OK in their own rights as more folk metal.

Within Temptation is an amazing band too and like others have said, a more consistent band. I was thinking Sharon's voice might be getting a little weak around Unforgiven, but it sounded better on Hydra.

I would go with Tarja era Nightwish by just a little bit. Luckily I can own everything by both bands.

Definitely Nightwish for me, an outstanding ever-changing band, I love Within Temptation too, especially their early albums.
