From 2011 and the bands 21st studio album, "Elegant Stealth" this one seems to give a little nod back to the prog days but with a modern taste. There are some great multi layered sections that at times are just stunning IMO, as usual the guitar parts are killer and drive the overall sound.

Andy Powell has got to be up there as one of my favourite axe men and he has had some great guitar players at his side over the years but for me the twinning with him and Ted Turner is the cream.

Andy (without the Flying V) and Ted.

Wishbone Ash is now up for nomination for the forum's rock hall of fame over in the Rock Lounge. They and Hawkwind are 2 vastly underrated bands in my opinion and could use your support. Drop by and vote!

Re: Wishbone Ash

Sounds like you and Sox had a great night. Wishbone Ash are still a grand rock band and heres hoping they will be with us for eternity. Russ Ballard aswell !!:grinthumb
Lou/Realm was relegated to watching Wishclone Ish [tribute band] who to be fair put up a good performance this time round....and Cinder was there too bless.
Here is probably my second favourite Wishbone Ash track....taken from the very underated "Number the brave" album

One of my favorite Wishbone Ash tracks as well. :grinthumb

Re: Wishbone Ash

I don't see any videos from the Illuminations or Here To Hear albums, so I added a couple of my favorite tracks.

From Illuminations:
Wishbone Ash - Top Of The World

From Here To Hear:
Wishbone Ash - Keeper of the Light

Well I saw Martin Turners Wishbone Ash last night and they have improved, well the guitars have improved and Martin still can't sing and still wears that dangly thing from his ear??

Cant wait to see Andy Powell and co later this year in Chesterfield:)

I saw Wishbone Ash last Saturday in Chesterfield and they were excellent, they started off playing classics and then went into Elegant Stealth and then classics again. They always have their Ash convention in Chesterfield almost every year so it's only a strole down trown which is good and you can usually find them in the pub nearby:)

Here are som pics from the show, no Martin Turner!!!!
