I am very saddened by this. Whitney had a voice that gave me goosebumps..there will never be another voice like hers, EVER!

I had to watch "Bodyguard" last night. Eerily, she talks about death quite a bit in that movie. I am looking forward to watching her last movie, too, "Sparkle".

She will be missed!

WE LOVE YOU WHITNEY!

Reports are that she was found lying face down in the bathtub and couldn't be revived. :(
That's what I heard this morning on the radio. Also the word (speculation) was that she didn't drown, but rather had died before her lungs filled up.

So, with toxicology tests being what they are nowadays (6-8 weeks? c'mon), we will have a few weeks of speculation regarding which bottle of booze and how many fists full of antidepressants she had injested the night before.

How fitting is this song now...again.

A little different version here, to make the post more worthwhile

PAUL McCARTNEY
Pays His Respects to Whitney

Source Link From TMZ

Paul McCartney and his wife Nancy Shevell just swung by the Beverly Hilton hotel to lay flowers at a makeshift memorial for Whitney Houston ... and TMZ has the pics.

Paul and Nancy dropped a bouquet of yellow roses at the scene, shook hands with some of Whitney's fans at the memorial and talked about how much they loved the late singer.

We're told the fans tried to compliment Paul on his performance at the Grammy Awards last night ... but Paul brushed off the praise ... insisting, "This is about Whitney, not me."

We can't find any evidence that Paul and Whitney ever sang together ... but clearly, the Beatles legend had a respect for her work.

I have to wonder if she never met Bobby Brown if her story would have had a happier ending...

Or if she was destined to burn out and die young no matter who was in her life.

I saw an interview with her done not too long ago...I couldn't help but notice the wear and tear of a hard life of drug abuse and she seemed to almost slur some words. Sigh even though I was not a big fan of hers I can not take anything away from her talent and her influence on aspiring singers will go on for decades.

Accountability...LG. Bobby didn't make her do anything, it was her choice. And everyone knows, we all can make bad choices and decisions in our lives.

I have been trying to find some of the episodes of her reality show from back in 2005. I never watched the reality show, but from what I have been reading, these episodes paint a bigger picture of her "Demons".

I do feel horrible for Bobbi Kristina, though. She seems to be over-come by grief

^^You have probably forgotten more about her than I ever knew Magic.

But I do remember a blurb when Bobby left her/or was kicked to the curb. When he married her he found out that she had a very special friend...can't remember her name but he had to compete with her for Whitney's affection and time. There was one other complication but I am not going to post it in here out of respect.;)

I agree with you Magic..we are responsible for our own actions.

Certainly we CAN put outselves in better company tho..it seems Bobby Brown was a bad influence for sure..and she comes from an old school mentality of 'standing by yer man' no matter what...but that's not healthy if that man direspects you,treats you like crap and hurts you in anyway...{this I found out the HARD way myself :( }

But she was away from him for about 5 years /in and out of rehab and from what I read her daughter was her support system. This is cruel and horrible to do to anyone who loves you but a young girl..thats such a shame..poor kid :uh:

I read she had a disagreement with Whitney prior to her death and refused to speak with ..then she found what happen ..and tried to see her..it's really sad..she going blame herself and thats not fair..or true..but you know it will happen..

I have a brother who's recovering and has been sober for over 5 years now..he's married and starting a new life..he was REAL bad tho..I expected him to toss in the towel til he really hit rock bottom..It's hard for those who love you to stand by and watch you destroy yourself..some people just can't rise above it

Whitney had a beautiful life if she just looked at what was important..Her daughter, her musical talent..but she made terrible shelfish choices..:uh:

I agree, Astrid. Whitney made some horrible choices in her life.

I was reading some stuff about her and her daughter's relationship, and from what I gather her daughter was not only Whitney's support, but also an enabler. She partied with her mom, yanno.

I am pretty sure Whitney had put the addiction to Cocaine behind her, but she had turned to other addictions. Xanax, Valium, Ativan, sleeping pills, alcohol, and various other anti-depressants. These are all physically, psychologically, and emotionally addicting drugs.

I will await the results of the toxicology, but it wouldn't surprise me if she didn't have a deadly cocktail
