Which singer's voice just doesn't match with his age?

Well, when I hear a song, I'd always picture the singer's age according to the voice style. But Brett Dennen really surprised me by his young look but mature voice. He always impresses me with a young face, but when I listen to his song ain't know reason, I thought that it should be a middle-aged man who sings it. Really amazing!

Hmmmm... to me great voices may lose an octave over time but often they gain character and control

I always thought Johnny Lang sounded much older than his years .. great voice and a sound guitar player. :cheers2

I'd say Jennette McCurdy.... 18 but sounds more like 30s iyam. Very smoky, world-weary kind of voice.

Gotta concur with Jonny Lang and also mention Greyson Chance. The kids like frickin' 8 or something and he's got another one of those smokey kind of voices.

Just my opinion Groovy! Johnny was a storyteller! Wisdom and experience come with age and so does the "imperfections" vocally like a more gravelly and cracked voice that give the songs character they didn't have before. Johnny always was a great writer but towards the end you really feel like he lived them. Also, and this goes far beyond "Hurt", any song he covered it felt like he experienced them and lived them more than the original artist! You may think differently but I have my reasons and won't change my stance any quicker than you'll change yours! Once again we'll have to agree to disagree! :grinthumb
