Dark Funeral is melodic, yes, for me they are just between black and death. But the tags are not really important, it's the music that is.

And in a death metal thread this song has got to be in there:

Mortification is pretty killer Christian Death Metal though I hear they caught alot of shit from some other Death Metal bands ( Deicide for one ) on the road.
Not really into the concept myself but they sounded pretty bad ass.
