Quiet Riot (I've always felt like Quiet Riot was a band that had so much more to give but just never got the chance)
I agree, though even if Kevin DuBrow were still alive it'd only be worth doing if Carlos Cavazo and Frankie Banali were involved. Especially Cavazo.
Quiet Riot's bass players were very interchangable, they did just fine without Rudy Sarzo on several albums and tours when either Chuck Wright or Kenny Hillary was playing bass for them instead.
And I'll admit Quiet Riot did four or five good songs without Frankie Banali in the band (half of the songs on the
Terrified album were played by Bobby Rondinelli, the other half were Banali).
However, I didn't like the very last album Quiet Riot did at the end with a different guitarist. Nobody ever talks about him, but Carlos Cavazo was pretty damn important to their sound throughout their career.
As for my other choice, I'd say any early Beach Boys lineup with Brian Wilson.
