Scooped up an interesting vinyl copy of Pink Floyd's highly inventive f1970 offering "Ummagumma" Part live and part studio work, even the live recordings exhibit as much attention to grand artistic detail as many studio works I've heard.Quite impressive considering the relatively low amount of onstage technical capabilities made available at the time.I recall this one receiving three stars in a Rolling Stone Record Guide, indicating that(paraphrasing here) "an album of average worth but might possess particular appeal for those who are fans of a certain genre".Well me being a huge fan of pre-"Dark Side" Floyd, certainly I fall into the perameters of the "particular genre" assessment.Glorious psychedlia!!

Steve Morse fan to some degree (should listen to him more); seems I've
seen some TransAtlantic cross these listening waters befoe... :grinthumb
Really like his work. His instrumental stuff with Dixie Dregs and Steve Morse Band are completely different to his stuff with Purple. Perhaps in the jazz-fusion-rock-prog-southern genre? I have a lot of their albums on both cd and vinyl and find myself listening to them quite a lot :)
