Not all is quiet in Who-ville
I s'pose my recent discovery of Townsend & Co. might prompt a bit of eye rolling among the veteran set, but considering these shows occurred about 15 years before I debuted on this planet, forgiveness is in order.
As the 78th, 79th, and 80th musical Christmas gifts to myself (so far) this calendar year ("How to rationalize otherwise untenable VISA balances 101"), the recently purchased Live at Hull and Leeds, as well as Who's Next - (the latter 2 being expanded releases with extra, or newly added, live & studio material) - arrived this morning.
I'd already been bowled over by my acquisition of Isle of Wight a month ago, and the staggeringly consistent muscularity of the band at Hull and Leeds (I've listening to both once throughout the day) are testament to a legend that deserves a far more vibrant patronage today.
Tomorrow, Live at the Vic...
Edit: oops, those are HUGE...ah well, they look as big as they sound!/peace, K
