^^My snowdrifts are a lot bigger than that North, but it does look like winter.

Do you leave your dog outside all the time?

No, of course, no. Door behind her - it's her nighttime home - insulated shed. And at the day she's living in aviary with wooden booth and much of warm straw. When nobody home - she's running everywhere and could go to the shed or to the aviary - as she wish. 2smile1.gif

^^I figured as much but here when it's really cold I would bring my dog in the house no matter what. Their ears get cold and so do their feet, and it's not fun for them.

Nice that she's got lots of freedom to roam.:)

You know, winter of 2011/2012 was very, very cold (cruel, I'd say), and we settled our dog in the antechamber of the house - we had changed something in device of hallway for it.

I once met a person from Africa, who was horrified to see we let dogs into the house. I think it's a cultural thing, although I would draw a line at having a dog on the bed.

Oooh, I love my dog! Her age - 7 years old and she lives in my house from the times, when she was two months of age. This is a family member (as, indeed, and my two cats (girls), Siamese cat (boy) and cockatiel-corella). :)
Big Ears, of course, everything has a limits. I wouldn't let my dog on my bed, but when it's cold - let it live in a heated hallway, I wouldn't be harmed of it. 2_sm5.gif

^^Any African who winters here would understand Martin...it's not optional unless you are keeping wolves or huskies they can survive anything the winter throws at them as long as you feed them and give them water.

Still I would not leave my dogs outside here, it's cruel for them they are family not just an afterthought.
