People keep huskies here (and race them), but it must seem hot to them in the summer.

I suppose there is a point where few animals can survive the cold. I think it's cruel when people leave horses outside over night in the snow.

^^I feel the same about horses, but if they are outside all the time they grow a thick undercoat of hair that keeps them warm. Make sure they have a windbreak, straw, food and water and they would be alright. But if I owned a horse I would keep them in a heated barn for the winter, just because I love my pets and treat them like family.
