I like their older stuff up through Disintegration (1989). After that they didn't seem near as catchy. Started sounding more commercial IMO.

I enjoyed Black Metal and Welcome To Hell, one thing I am reading about regarding Venom is the influence they would have for the black metal scene coming around in those days.

Well, that's pretty much a given. Crapply produced bombastic, screaming about Satan ..... yeah, that would be Venom's domain and it ( along w/ Bathory etc.. ) heavily influenced the early "2d wave" Scandinavian Black metal scene
