Re: Rate The Song Above You II

^^^ Well I won't disagree with your claim about them being the best British band in the last 25 years. They were one of my favorites while a teen and I still listen to them every so often. Great lyrics to this song:

There's a club, if you'd like to go
You could meet somebody who really loves you
So you go, and you stand on your own
And you leave on your own
And you go home
And you cry
And you want to die

This really captures that youthful angst like no other song and Morrissey sings it in his perfect angsty voice. He's quite a poet and many of their songs have very profound lyrics that a certain group of people can really relate to, me being one of them. 9.5/10.

Great prog ballad by the always excellent Camel. 8/10

Since Khor got away with posting a Three Dog Night song, here is one of my favorites. A Randy Newman song that was originally recorded by Eric Burdon, but the cover by Three Dog Night topped the charts.

^^Always have loved that Three Dog Night song. 10/10

^Sadily I think they have slightly slowed this version of the song down. :(

It was distracting in the beginning because it sounded just like My Girl. But not too bad. 5/10

Intro a bit reminds me about "Roadhouse Blues". Interesting combination of traditional blues-rock and high, a little "freaky" vocals in a Russell Mael's style. 7.5/10.
