Alvin had bought his Mother a posh house in Wollaton area.... and his Mother still liked the huge old open washers with timber paddles at a 1930s Launderette (called a Wash house), in the old area she once lived. ... this day I was with my Mom and Mrs. Barnes told all the ladies at tea break... that "her Graham (Alvin Lee) had rang her to say he's playing a huge concert at Woodstown or Woodstock or something"
