I had Yesterday… And Today on cassette first. Even saw copies of the original “butcher cover” a few times at record conventions. Once I got The Beatles UK library on disc, of course, I began listening to the Capitol releases less often, with a few exceptions. I’m still a sucker for Capitol’s duophonic stereo and also naturally do own The Capitol Albums cd sets.

Anyway, several months ago, a friend of mine gave me an original butcher cover version of Yesterday… in horrible condition but an original copy nonetheless. I recorded it to cd to give me complete access to it.
