Well they r wrong..it came out 1988 and is listed both on Prog Archives and wiki then and their debut lp came out 1980. I have been aware of them for some time but never really explored their music before.

Well it's listed on a Demo Album Toy World of their's which came out in March 1981, which is all recorded in Wikipedia, so they can't all be wrong?
Though in the 80s some tracks came out at different times or were revised.

Another example of it seems to be Real Life's "Send me an Angel", which initially came in 1983 though an updated version, which charted better in the States came out in 1989.

I used to say they sounded like XTC on acid. ;)
What did you think of the music...?

I can listen to it, I though it sounded Post-Punk, though are they blending in Glam-Rock with it?

Just curious...who are a few of your favorite bands?

At the moment I don't really know, someone (older than myself) asked me this at work and I was like listing a whole lotta bands with Dead People no longer around. When they threw out their list of bands I only recognised one of the bands (can't remember who it was - Faith No More I think they said).

They get lumped into avant /art rock/post prog punk lists usually. Odd style ..on some songs they seem to have many things going on. There are a number of people on Prog Archives that rave about them and 3 or 4 of their lps get 4 stars. Been trying to assimilate it for some time now.
I recall Faith No More...they had a hit with 'Epic' in 1989. Interestingly the singer, Patton, started Mr BUngle..another strange avant prog post punk band (also RIO which means rock in opposition....never could really fig. out that def.)
Are you old school like me from the 60s and 70's, I'm 74 yrs young...;)

ps: yes that track was on earlier 'demo' lps but the final version (and as a single) most know is from the 'LIttle Man' lp from 1988

I would have been @ -7.5 on the 31st Dec 1969, though since I came after that date gives me no excuse to say "It's before my time".

I don't know all them groups it's even got some Folk, Country & Pop making the cut! Interesting Billy Nicholls made @tkitna list with Would You Believe - the Small Faces were the Session Musicians on that album, though Billy Nicholls also contributed some songs which went towards the Home and Away Sessions for Del Shannon, the connection there is Andrew Loog Oldham. From the Would You Believe album is a track called "Come Again", Del Shannon covered this song which is quite good, though retitled "Cut and Come Again", which suits his dark approach to music:

What strikes me about the members here selections is there's no:
* Byrds
* Eagles
* Doors
* Yardbirds
* Animals
* Cream
* Dire Straits

:lmao:
