Covers again, but ones you enjoy and think do justice to the song. Sometimes the original takes a bit of beating but some covers are very close and some are better. See what crops up.

A Taste Of Honey .. great tune covered by many artists, my thinking is The Beatles did a really top notch job and Lenny Welch was a hard act to follow.

The Everly Brothers Love Hurts. Great original, but Nazareth's cover was just stratospheric!!!

Good call Hydra!

I'll have to think about this :) Could easily post the usual like Joe Cocker's cover of With a Little Help from My Friends or Hendrix's version of All Along the Watchtower, but I'll try and think of something a bit different.

Ok my first pick for this thread...

I reckon The Ramones did a sterling job of The Doors' Take It As It Comes

One of my favourite covers ever, Zeppelins Stairway To Heaven done by Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart. A phenomenal version that brings a new perspective to this overplayed classic

I never really liked this song at all, but when the Foo Fighters covered it I took notice. I think they hit it out of the park.

Jeff Beck's instrumental cover of the Beatles' A Day in the Life.
Lynyrd Skynyrd's cover of J J Cale's Call Me the Breeze.
Eric Clapton's unplugged cover of his Derek and the Dominos Layla.
