Steppenwolf - Born To Be Wild or Van Halen - Runnin' With The Devil? Hard to pick, but I gave the nod to Steppenwolf - Born To Be Wild (The song that got me into metal).

Never liked Runnin' With The Devil.

Walk This Way is my absolute least favorite Aerosmith song.

While the Run DMC thing was great for the growth of music, for sure, I'd venture to say that I'm not the only hardcore, lifelong Aerosmith fan who still feels violated by the whole sordid affair.

I Wanna Rock is ok, but let's face it. Twisted Sister is one of the many, many illegitimate spawn produced from the deeply disturbed ***** of the original twisted sister,

That leaves Born To be Wild.

How is Born to be Wild Hard Rock / Metal? I was voting on this VH1 poll on their site and it was nothing but a popularity contest. Born to Be Wild says the words "heavy metal" so that makes it a metal tune? lol To me that referes to the metal of an engine - That song isn't remotely heavy metal or hard rock.
