Monarchy is a silly thing in a democratic society. And it pisses me off that Canadian tax payers are footing the bill for William and Kate's trip to Canada this summer. Let them pay for it themselves. If they can afford a wedding like that, they can afford to pay for their own vacations.

It's the serfs/plebeians/peasants or 'commoners' as the Royals call us, that wind me up more than anything - waving their flags, servilely worshipping these pompous icons of wealth, power and priveledge.

Agree 100% about the serfs feeding frenzy over this....debacle of an event. It is way past time to let go of the past, and just allow the Royals to become the same as the other families in Europe. They will always keep themselves apart from us "serfs, plonkers and ruffians", seeing their poop doesn't stink.

I spent five minutes trying to think of something clever to say about that disaster of a hat, but I'm just thinking of doing away with her face and replacing it with Lady Gaga's to get the point across/make it seem less bizarre.

Agreed with Tray as well. My word, those people don't waste any time letting the whole world know what they have, and what the rest of us don't.

If they can afford a wedding like that, they can afford to pay for their own vacations.

They could afford to send the whole of Canada to England, for crying out loud.

Also, depending on the source for this article (watch, it's probably "The Sun" or some other equivalent of America's Fox News) I'm not exactly sure I buy it. Though, it could happen. However, I think Kate Middleton was privileged before this. Like Tray said, she was probably chosen (much like Diana, who I think was much prettier and more genuine by far) because she's hot and she'll make fabulous children.

If it's from The Sun newspaper then it's a dead cert that it's made up I'm 99% positive it's not true, they even got Kate's mum's name wrong.

She certainly does come from a priveledged background - her parents are multimillionaires.

There is no "IF". From what I heard last week, when Queen E dies, William gets half of her everything, worth 10 Billion dollars. When Charles goes, he gets half of his stuff, worth 500 million.

Kate Middleton is definitely a nice looking woman. On her wedding day, she was totally hot. One of the best looking brides I've seen in a long time.


What she looks like at 6am is entirely a different story, I'm sure, but she does have a good amount of "natural beauty" to her.
