VAN HALEN CANCEL PLANNED EUROPEAN TOUR DATES:
Van Halen have cancelled their planned 2012 Summer Tour of Europe before the dates were even announced. But because planning was so far along for the tour - the dates and venues were already locked in. But there has been no reason given to promoters for the cancellation. Simply that it was not going to go ahead.

The cancelled dates were:
May 28 Paris Zenith
May 30 Zuerich Hallenstadion
June 1 Barcelona Pala Jordi
June 3 Milano Arena Fiera
June 5 Dortmund Westfalenhalle
June 7 Sweden Rock Solvesborg
June 10 Download Festival Donnington
June 13 Stuttgart Schleyerhalle
June 15 Hellfest Clisson France
June 17 Fields Of Rock Festival Holland
June 19 Berlin O2 Arena
June 21 Prag
June 23 Grasspop Metal Meeting Belgium

That's it for now... but stay tuned as always...

Oh shock and awe.

As much of a mess as Axl Rose is at least he still performs. Sure, he might go on ridiculously late for his on shows but that's better than Van Halen canceling their shows. I'm still not holding my breath for their new album.

This isn't surprising in the least. It was almost expected. I think it's irritating because this band had such a profound impact when they first hit the scene and then crushed everyone for the next 5 years with Roth. Hagar's tenure brought them greater exposure but everyone clamors for the original line up and when they finally (semi) reunited, it seemed like the prayers were finally answered, only to hear of show issues, personal demons returning and now cancelled shows. As for that promised album... yeah. I'm not holding my breath.
