Re: Van Der Graaf Generator

While back in the 70's-I was a fan of the three great albums of the 70's -
H to He Who Am the Only One
Pawn Hearts
Godbluff

What you thought I wouldn't have pictures
I discover in the past 10 years they are so much more. I never hear Still Life an excellent album and their three 2000's album are all very good
Present
Real Time

Let alone I've only heard a few Peter Hammill albums (he has 21) the ones I've heard I like. Peter is a very underated vocalist and pianist.

^^It's a shame VDGG never got the acclaim that a lot of their contemporaries did, they have put out some gems over the years.

I dosed off in bed last night to H to He Who Am the Only One. I had some very weird dream about an alien world as it played like a movie soundscape to my
otherly world wanderings. :D

I'm just getting into this band after putting them off for many years. I chose H to He, and Godbluff for starters and all I can say is these albums blow me away! Great band!

Those are two of the best Van Der Graffe albums to me. But they have a lot of great stuff on other albums as well.

Yeah, I've been listening to more stuff on YouTube. I ordered a few more CDs including Pawn Hearts, The Least We Can Do Is Wave, and Peter Hammill's 1973 solo album. Prolific artist would be an understatement to describe his output.
