I didn't put this in DVD Reviews section because it was never officially released on DVD. On rare occasions it's been played on VH1Classic. While it may be missing some important punk bands such as the Ramones there is more than enough other great bands in the film (there's some crap too!)
Urgh! A Music War is a great film featuring Punk, New Wave, Ska, & Techno Bands. The film came out in 1981 & was shown on various late night music related shows such as USA Network's 'Night Flight'. I'll never forget seeing it on a late Saturday Night & thinking "What the Hell is this?" but I couldn't stop watching it because I wanted to see what the next band would be like. The film featured a band playing 1 song each & some were from the West coast(ex. Los Angeles), some were from the East Coast (ex. NYC), & some were from England (ex London). Some of the bands featured are the Police, The Cramps, Pere Ubu, Joan Jett, Echo & the Bunnymen, Klaus Naomi, Oingo Boingo, the Go Go's, X, Xtc...etc.
