This was REALLY tough. I hated leaving a couple of albums out of the top 5, but ... gah. My first comment hits it on the head.. this was simply really tough.

My top 5 of these albums:
Back In Black
Shout At The Devil
Van Halen
Appetite For Destruction
Love At First Sting

Honorable mention to Blizzard of Ozz. The #5 spot came down to Scorps vs Ozzy and LAFS is an album that was more of a piece of the soundtrack of my life than Blizzard, but just barely. No disrespect to Randy+Ozzy

I remember hearing songs off Shout At the Devil before it came out (1983 US Festival on cable) and I was impressed. When that album came out, I know I got it almost immediately in the fall of '83 and it hit me like a brick and has been a music staple in my life ever since.

The first time I saw the Looks that Kill video, I was totally hooked. I got the tape right away. I wore that thing out. I was the fist "kid" in my neighborhood to be a Crue fan. I saw Ozzy really because the Crue was the warm up band. Then they toured on their own and i saw them again. After Theater of Pain, I was done with Motley. They were sell outs in my eyes, and my opinion hasn't changed. Of the newer stuff, I like "Rocket Ship," that's about it.
