With three days until the biggest musical countdown in Australia since "Countdown", it's about time we had a discussion thread. Unfortunately voting is now closed, but the actual day is the main event anyway. Held on Australia day (26th January), people all around Australia add the countdown to, or even throw specific parties for the event. there's also a notable international following, from nearly all corners of the world too! So get your celebration hats on and enjoy a day full of the best indie music this side of the planet!

Well, the countdown has been completed and the results are here:

Hottest 100 - 2011 | triple j

The no.1 song was of course Gotye's "Somebody That I Used To Know", but there were many surprises and twists throughout the top 10 and the rest of the 100. A great countdown in the end!
