I don't think Gold Dust is bad, it's just pointless. I like Yes, Anastasia and Flavor because it's really different from the original and she actually changed it, but I barely notice any change in most of the songs, like Winter or Snow Cherries From France. And I generally don't understand the artists' need to redo songs, they almost always turn out worse than the originals.

Like when Mariah Carey tried doing a new version of her old classics, it's like please don't touch those and leave them as they are.

I still have mad love for Tori though :grinthumb

Hmmmm, the Yes, Anastasia version was really awkward. It sounded like I was listening to a snippet from Amazon the way it just burst right into it. I'm not crazy about that one.

Listened to it all last night and I'm happy with it. I thought the new version of Precious Things was interesting and I like Silent All These Years. I prefer the new version of Programmable Soda as well. Still not crazy about the shortened version of Yes, Anastasia but overall I like this collection. :)

I've only had chance to play it through once, but initial feelings are definitely positive :) Yes, Anastasia has left me a little disappointed though, it is quite bland compared to how I imagined it would be (but then how do you improve upon or even equal the sheer brilliance of the original), and, like Abraxas, I'm not very happy about one of my favourites being sliced in half, but still, enjoyed it enough. I can't decide which reworking I like best yet, though contenders have to be Precious Things and Silent All These Years, I will have to give it a few more spins to decide on that one!

According to Tori's official website, Unrepentant Geraldines, her upcoming album, will be released in the spring of 2014:

Tori Amos - Unrepentant Geraldines

I heard about this on another forum. These are the things that I want to know regarding the next album:

1. Will she trim down the fat?? Her albums since Scarlet's Walk have been way too long for their own good!

2. Will she bring back (or introduce for the first time) an interesting instrument like the harpsichord or mellotron maybe? :D

I didn't bother listening to 2009's Abnormally Attracted because I was a bit disappointed by the filler on 2007's ADP.

But I cannot deny that I'm curious about the new album.
