I'm looking forward to Gold Dust. Sure I would like a NEW album, but I'm also looking forward to owning songs like WINTER with new orchestral recordings

Just ordered the special edition! As far as Tori's voice not being the same I think that makes the idea of the extra bells and whistles of the orchestration even better! :) As far as voices losing range like in the case of Johnny Cash I think that gives a vocal and extra edge and character it didn't have before and is cool in making a reinterpretation of a song fresh with a further dose of wisdom behind it! :)

I think for the most part she's still nailing the notes Sooty!!! Yeah I picked up the special edition yesterday man...and watched the DVD....not very long...two videos and a making of one video...but worth it.

The audio CD...I enjoyed. Silent All These Years is like WOW!!! :grinthumb

All of it is really good and the orchestra adds sooo much....and all the song selections are perfect.

But now if she only added....Pretty Good Year to this :wa

Pretty Good Year would've been perfect for that! I sampled a little of the album on Spotify but didn't want to ruin too much! :) I can see how her voice could be considered a little spotty at her age but I haven't heard any major flaws yet. I think this was a great idea for an Anniversary album and one thing about Tori is she never rests on her laurels. She ALWAYS switches it up from album to album. Tori special editions are usually lackluster though so I'm glad this one is good! :) I can't wait too get it! :D

I will say Silent All These Years is pretty wild 20 years later...I mean she's at this age singing from that age...live is one thing but to re-create it....pretty cool. It sounds like she's looking into the time machine mirror and jumped right into it.

Yeah I mean Pretty Good Year has got orchestra already, so she could have made that like over the top bombastic!!

I agree on the dvd. Way too short but considering that mtv and vh1 don't play her videos it's nice to watch these whenever one wants to.

So far I've heard half of the album. I think it's very good. :grinthumb
The only beef I have is that they cut Yes, Anastasia in half. I'm going to listen the rest in a bit and then give my verdict on that. Can't wait to hear Silent All These Years.
