Okay I found it. Page 6 of the Zeppelin thread. It was a Sooty post and was also from the same tribute album, but it was Never The Bride doing Going To California. You still may have posted the Tori ILJP but didn't see it yet.

Anyway part of the mystery is solved. :grinthumb

Thanks Tray. Yeah I'll definitely give this thread a good look through though it'll be a massive undertaking. :heheh: And that song may grow on you I absolutely hated it at first.

Hey Jen, good to see you dipping your toes in the Tori thread, we'll make a fan of you yet :D If you were to ask me which album I'd recommend as a starter I'd probably pick Little Earthquakes.

Hmmm not sure what I think of this - initially strikes me as being like one of those mash-ups as to me their voices just don't seem to gel at all well in parts. Maybe it'd grow on me though as there are parts of the song that really appeal :)

Eek I remember when this came out mid 90's? I've got a copy on some cd. didn't like it. If we are going Tori playing Led Zep

I like this

^^^ Now that I do like! I love how Tori always interacts so well with the crowd, old Bobby Dylan could learn a few lessons there :D

Ahhh the Tori Amos thread! Well let me start off by saying that I love this women so much. It's funny because I've only been a fan for over a year now but yet I feel like I've been following her from the very beginning before her solo career when she had her own band (Y Kant Tori Read) jeje..

Yeah Tori's always been great and very interactive with the crowd even when she has to put a few people in their places or even kick them out for talking during a show tehe.png

Oh good you found it. :) Sooty and MetalPriest are two of our big Tori fans of the forum. I just picked up "From the Choirgirl Hotel" last week or the week before but have yet to listen to it.

MP, it took me awhile to get around to listening to it but I was surprised in a good way! I guess I was under the assumption that Tori would be all piano virtuoso and this album seemed to have quite a rock edge to it and a lot of the tracks seemed a little dark and I enjoyed that! Is this more characteristic of her overall style or would you say my original thinking wasn't too far off? The tracks I noted as enjoying the most were "Raspberry Swirl", "Spark", "Playboy Mommy" and "Liquid Diamonds".

If there are more Tori albums similar to this one I may pick up another. Thanks for the recommendation guys! :)
