Agreed. Redbone is *not* a OHW.

Also..

Edwin Starr had seven Top-40 hits and nine other songs in the Hot-100.
Brownsville Station had two Top-40 and seven other Hot-100 songs.
Michael (Martin) Murphey also charted with "Carolina in the Pines", and four other songs.
Don McLean had six Top-40 hits, and three others in the Hot-100.

The Ides Of March ~ Vehicle (what else would you expect from me?)

Carl Douglas ~ Kung Fu Fighting

King Harvest ~ Dancing In The Moonlight

The Stampeders ~ Sweet City Woman

Jonathan Edwards ~ Sunshine (Go Away Today)

Bobby Gentry ~ Ode To Billy Joe

Jeannie C. Riley ~ Harper Valley P.T.A.

The Archies ~ Sugar, Sugar

Lynn Anderson ~ Rose Garden

Daddy Dewdrop ~ Chick-A-Boom

Mungo Jerry ~ In The Summertime

I know, that's 11. It's not like we're trying to land on the moon here. Besides, I think I showed exceptional restraint. I could easily list 50 right off the top of my head.

They're still considered a OHW. "Darkness Darkness" only reached #86. To be considered a OHW, the artist must have only one chart in the Top-40, irregardless of any other Hot-100 songs. As, "Get Together" reached #5, it's a no-brainer.

Every once in a while I hear the "Mike Curb Congregation" on the radio doing their "Burning Bridges" song. It's a really good song:

It reminds me of the "New Christy Minstrels" doing "Green, Green".
