Re: Three Dog Night
The Dogs have been working on a new album.Their first since the 1982 It's a Jungle EP.
Three Songs from the forthcoming album are available as singles on the official TDN website.
Original Producer Richie Podolor is involved with some of the tracks.
Sadly Chuck Negron and Floyd Sneed are not involved. For those who don't know
TDN was a seven piece group, three lead singers, and four musicians.
In a nutshell, four of the original seven are involved. (Joe Shermie Bass) died
several years ago. But without Chuck is it really Three Dog Night?
Chuck has made several (good) solo albums, and still sounds great, To me
the new album is sort of a sham without Chuck.. Chuck sang their first hit
"one is the lonliest number" their biggest hit "JOy To The World" their last
big hit "The SHow Must Go On" and their last hit period "Till The World Ends"
Chuck also sang all the high parts throughout the entire discography. So i don't
know about this.. Calling it Three Dog Night. Cory Wells still sounds good, albeit in
a lower key nowadays. Danny Hutton not so good.
One of the new songs "Prayer For The Children" which is totally accapella, does sound
good, with the entire band singing parts, but without Chuck in the blend,, it really
does not sound like the Dogs..
