Some more classic Robbo live in Tokyo, with Wild Horses when they were in Japan in 1980..Not the greatest quality recording, but nevertheless jump to 1 min 50 secs to hear that very distinctive Robbo sound.

Lizzy in Philadelphia, USA in 1977 with their classic track 'Opium Trail'...to me,this track is what Lizzy were all about, Superb!..the classic line-up of Lynott, Downey, Gorham, Robertson...Robbo really shines on this live cut and Downey's drumming throughout is just class. They were a truly fantastic band, such a shame those goddamn awful drugs ruined them....

NB..Really cannot understand why this classic track never made it onto the original Live and Dangerous album.

Lynott was once asked "Out of all the musicians you have worked with over the years which one was the most difficult to work with?"..Lynott replied "Robbo"...Robbo was a very fiery temperamental git but that was what made him and what brought us his sound...When Robbo joined Motorhead, Lemmy had tons of problems with him.,,but that was Robbo all over, an awkward bugger but a magnificent guitarist.

Wild Horses at the legendary Reading Rock Festival, UK in 1979...

L to R...Robbo, Jimmy Bain, Neil Carter..

NB..Lizzy were scheduled to headline this festival but they cancelled at the eleventh hour coz Gary Moore had just quit Lizzy leaving the band in a bit of disarray..Moore had walked out midway through a USA tour..Scorpions were hastily brought in to fill in the headline slot.

Thin Lizzy - Blues Boy ( Outtake )....Lizzy getting a bit bluesy here...Apparently Scott wasn't so keen on this track, he was an out n out rock guitarist whereas Robbo had a deep love of the blues...but they complemented each other so well..best twin lead guitar duo ever.
