Hi guys.
I just quickly want to thank you again for your best wishes.
My wife is hopefully being discharged from hospital today. Her blackout was blood-pressure related, though there is also an underlying problem as she has now been diagnosed with something called polycythemia, which is a blood disorder that causes thickening of the blood (too many red blood cells) which makes her blood dense and sticky, and can lead to other problems such a strokes and thrombosis. It's non-life threatening but serious if not monitored, and so she will need to have some blood drawn every few months to dilute the thickness of the blood.
We're still hoping to go back to DC middle of next week for 3 weeks over Easter as long as she feels up to it, and then we'll take if from there.
I mainly just want to thank all those individuals who either posted messages on my birthday thread, or in some cases even PM'd me your best wishes to my wife, it meant a lot, and those of you who did I will remember your individual kindnesses to me and my wife/children, it was most thoughtful of you.
Not quite sure when I will be back posting music etc regularly on here, my wife has been ordered to rest completely for a while, so the knock-on effect is that life probably gets a little more manic for the rest of the family for a while, but I hope to be back here in the not too distant future.
Thanks again.
Regards
