To mark the 40th anniversary of ‘Quadrophenia,’ the Who took the show on the road, performing the 1973 classic in its entirety. Now, the fruits of those labors are being made available to one and all. The final night of the tour, July 8, 2013, at London’s Wembley Arena, was filmed and, as previously reported, is now making its way to DVD and Blu-ray.

On ‘Quadrophenia: Live in London,’ the famous album was performed in order, and with some high-tech trickery, Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend were able to stage a “reunion” of sorts with their deceased band mates Keith Moon and John Entwistle, using archival footage and audio to create a unique concert experience. Following the ‘Quadropehina’ set, the Who also tear into a handful of their other classics including ‘Who Are You,’ ‘Baba O’ Riley,’ and ‘Won’t Get Fooled Again.’

‘Quadrophenia Live In London’ is available in a variety of packages. Along with the 17-track DVD, Blu-ray, and 2-CD set, there is also a Blu-ray audio, surround sound version of the original 1973 album. Digital downloads of both audio and video content will also be available. And, for the more adventurous, there is a mammoth five-disc, limited edition collectors box that comes packaged in a 10” round metal container, made to look like a headlight from a scooter, and contains the DVD, Blu-ray (audio and video), double CD, a Mod Headlight button and sticker, as well as a 32-page booklet.
