I give it a 9: Superb! I really enjoy this album, and have fun throwing it on singing along the whole way. I rank Joshua Tree at the same level and Achtung Baby a 10~~ Love it!

8. This is the beginning of a great run of albums for u2. This is the first album u2 worked with Eno and Lanois who helped u2 refine their sound. Adding soundscapes to the Edge's guitar shine on this album with songs like "Indian Summer Sky" and "Elvis Presley and America". Along with the poppier classics Pride, A Sort of Homecoming, Wire and Bad. Several of the live tours after this album always ended with MLK and as you walked out of the arenas the crowd would still be singing the chorus.

6. Not as good as Boy, War, Actung Baby or Rattle And Hum. And it's nowhere near the masterpiece that The Joshua Tree is. The Unforgettable Fire is only better than October and Zooropa imho.

Probably should've gave it a 5 but it's Christmas time and I'm feeling generous.:D
