Well these are all Metal Legends in their own right. Some for how nuts they were when Thrash Metal first started, some for how original they were, but then their playing all of a sudden became legendary because of their death, one was highy inovative with his guitar playing, and the other is the most underrated drummer I can think of.

This would be a thrash metal, groove metal band.

Vocals - Paul Baloff (Exodus)
Guitar - Dimebag (Pantera
Bass - Cliff Burton (Metallica)
Drums - Gar Samuelson (Megadeth)

Now tell me this lot couldn't make good music. (I thought that this group would be inspired by some of the more populous groups in history (Cat Empire, Slipknot, Broken Social Scene, Machine Gun Fellatio)

Singer rhythm guitar- Kurt Cobain (Nirvana)
Rapper- Eminem
trumpeter singer- Harry Angus (Cat Empire)
Singer guitarist piano percussion- Thom Yorke (Radiohead)
Guitarist- Fletcher (pennywise)
Bass player singer- Fat Mike (NOFX)
Drummer vocalist- Dave Grohl (Nirvana/Foo Fighters)
Drummer- Travis Barker
Symphony Orchestra- London Symphony Orchestra (London Symphony Orchestra)

Lead Guitar: Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin)
Rhythm Guitar: Tom Scholz (Boston)
Drums: Alex Van Halen (Van Halen)
Bass: Geddy Lee (Rush)
Vocals: Roger Daltrey (The Who)
Keyboards: Kieth Emerson (ELP)

Also think Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jimi Hendrix would be an amazing combination at guitars...
