Ah, the Sonics...To this day, you'd be hard pressed to find a band louder and more anarchic.

I got into them during a garage rock kick when I was 17. They played all the same rock 'n roll standards that the other garage bands played, but they managed to sound distinct from the others. I haven't listened to them in a while, I think I'm gonna have to add their first album to my vinyl wishlist.

I've got Psycho-Sonic on my iPod, it's just the first two albums mashed together with a couple of live takes of Witch. It's probably the best single CD that you can buy by them, though, unless you already have the first 2 albums.
