On June 13, 1969 The Rolling Stones held a photo call in Hyde Park to introduce new guitarist Mick Taylor. The 20 year-old former John Mayall's Bluesbreakers member made his live debut with The Stones the following month at a free concert at Hyde Park London.

Taylor was a member of John Mayall's Bluesbreakers (1966–69) and The Rolling Stones (1969–74). During his tenure with those bands, Taylor gained a reputation as a reliable technical guitarist with a preference for blues, and a talent for slide guitar.

^I have the laserdisc of The Rolling Stones "In The Park" which I watch on occasion. That line-up with Taylor will always be my favorite.

In memory of Brian Jones!
February 28, 1942 / July 3, 1969
On July 3, 1969 Brian Jones drowned while under the influence of drugs and alcohol after taking a midnight swim in his pool, aged 27. His body was found at the bottom of the pool by his Swedish girlfriend Anna Wohlin. The coroner's report stated "Death by misadventure", and noted his liver and heart were heavily enlarged by drug and alcohol abuse. Jones was one of the founding members of The Rolling Stones and in the early 60’s used the name "Elmo Lewis."
