MRider......thanks for connecting; I'm a long time fan, was in radio (college) for a short while, and as an adjunct to my career in education, I started a benefit concert series, so I became friends with people in the business, and when you do that, you learn even more......This forum tho is difficult cause if you don't get a response for a while, boom, you're gone......so I was surprised you even found this.........I do look for contemporary talent, but I would be lying if I told you that I thought today's performers match up with the era that I embrace....a Beatles, a Steely Dan, a Dylan, Doobies, Cream, CSN, Nilsson, Randy Newman..........and the nature of the business does not allow for an album, what would Cat Stevens do today?...Tea for the Tillerman hit every turntable in my circle, nowadays this type of work is hidden ........So I'm not confined to that era, I hope to find more, younger artists, but I'm still exploring that era, quite a few performers that didn't hit it with me now do, I studied Lynryd Skynyrd after years of hearing their one or two more popular songs, and bingo, I have a new group to add to my collection.....hope to hear from you and others.
