The Faces are planning to tour – but without Rod Stewart.
The band, who got back together last year to play a charity event at the Royal Albert Hall, have now announced that they’ll be playing the Vintage At Goodwood Festival in West Sussex on August 13 – with more dates to follow.
There will be three original members of the band – guitarist Ronnie Wood, drummer Kenney Jones and keyboard player Ian McLagan. Sex Pistols bassist Glen Matlock is also in the line-up. As for the singer, it’s… Mick Hucknall of Simply Red.
To compound the agony, The Faces will be supported by Sandie Shaw (with special guests Sophie Ellis Bextor and Mica Paris) on the day. Ouch.
