I love The Beatles so much that I tend not to like people who don't like them as much. Course, I respect their right to not like them or be disinterested, but it's slightly off-putting to me anyway, you know? However, I do get really angry when they don't respect The Beatles or acknowledge their talent and what they did for music.

Hi TPFang!Naturally,I too don't expect everyone on earth to share my fanaticism for the world's most famous foursome, but I must say that is becoming ceaselessly annoying how so many people can wander around God's good green earth and maintain the apparently gleefully ignorant perspective that the Beatles were woefully overrated and don't deserve all the acclaim they have received so rightfully in this reviewer's eye for all their stellar contributions to serious musical and sociological concerns.Any such cretins, including some in the musical business profession, are jealous beyond measure that neither THEIR favorite artists or they themselves will NEVER make the achievements scored with such vigor and splendor by Messrs. Lennon,McCartney,Harrison and Starr as their wonderously creatrive and innovative pop outfit. And check THIS ONE out...The other day,I was watching a bit on the "Paul-Is Dead" thing on tv and one apparently HUGELY shallow contributor to the piece added in conclusion that "Paul didn't really die,he just started to suck more".SUCK MORE!Suck MORE!!Hey look,if you don't agree with me about the Fabs being the single greatest entertainment phenomenon of all time, fine, but anyone who actually feels none of Sir Paul's catalogue is of ANY value AT ALL is stark raving mad!Period! And I recall when VH1 did their 100 Greatest Artists Survey and asked everyone to jot down their personal top fives. Now once again I don't expect everyone to have the Beatles number one,but there were some ballots that not only omitted the Fabs altogether, there was room for frigen Beyonce,Eminmen and 50 Cent on them!ANY ballot that didn't boast both the Beatles and Bob Dylan in the top five here should have been THROWN AWAY!!Especially the ones with Beyonce,50 Cent and Eminem. This whole thing smacks of one the things wrong with this country. It's getting to be a nation of shallow ignorant thickheads with a penchant for the outrageously insipid and banal in terms of art appreciation. On the other hand, maybe 50 Cent and Eminem DO have something that Dylan never did possess in all his works..:wank::wank::wank::wank::wank::wank:

Beatles ‘Live at the BBC, Vol. 2′ Coming in October

Hard as it might be to believe, apparently there are still enough unreleased Beatles recordings to fill yet another compilation.

Multiple sources are reporting that Apple has set Oct. 3 as the release date for ‘Live at the BBC, Vol. 2,’ which arrives nearly 20 years after ‘Vol. 1.’ And like its predecessor, it compiles live performances that the Fab Four delivered within the walls of the U.K. radio giant’s studios.

The first volume, released in 1994, filled two CDs with 69 songs from appearances the band made between 1962-65. It’s unknown at this time how many tracks or discs ‘Vol. 2′ will boast, but it will focus on performances previously thought to be lost due to the BBC’s policy of erasing and reusing tapes after shows.

Between listeners who recorded the shows at home and syndicated stations that aired the broadcasts in other markets, Apple has apparently compiled enough rarities to round out a new album. The new volume may include some of the bonus tracks issued as B-sides on the ‘Baby It’s You’ single from ‘Vol. 1′ (‘I’ll Follow The Sun,’ ‘Devil In Her Heart’ and ‘Boys’)

‘Live at the BBC, Vol. 2′ will be released alongside a new book, titled ‘The Beatles: The BBC Archives: 1962-1970,’ written by Kevin Howlett, author of ‘The Beatles at the Beeb 1962-1965′ and ‘The Beatles at the BBC.’ It’s set to arrive in stores on Oct. 10.

More money being made, I got the first one many years ago, not played it for some time. I have all the Beatles albums, they are essential, I suppose a new album can only bring Beatles to a new audience, I'll wait for it to drop in price:)

^^I'll wait for you to sound off on the new album guys, I'm content with the all the new EMI vinyl releases I bought last winter, they sound great except for the US pressing of Abbey Road which was a complete disaster. Only buy the English import if you can get it, if EMI had any brains they would recall the entire shipment and send out quality replacements, but instead they offered the record at a cheap sale price with NO RETURNS or exchanges at the shops here. Glad I bought a new copy last summer, a new pressing EMI has kept releasing for some years now and sounds great to me.

^^I never picked up on that until you mentioned it Squidbilly, but you are right it does look like he's got a shiner...perhaps a result of a late night out at the pub.
